How to use this tool

  1. 1Enter your birthday. It stays in your browser.
  2. 2Read your age in years, months and days, and the days and weeks lived.
  3. 3Choose how many years the grid shows.

How it works

The count uses calendar dates only: every day between your birthday and today in your own time zone, leap days included. Without a birth time, the result is in whole days.

With only a birth year, the exact count is unknown, so the tool shows the smallest and largest possible number of days instead of inventing a birthday.

The grid has one row per year of life, starting on each birthday, and 52 squares per row. The last square of each row also holds the one or two days left over.

The years shown after today are a calendar horizon you choose, not a prediction of how long anyone will live.

A 29 February birthday falls on 28 February in other years by default. You can switch to 1 March.

Frequently asked questions

When will I be 10,000 days old?

Ten thousand days is about 27 years and 4 months, a little more or less depending on how many leap days fall in between. Enter your birthday to get your exact date.

Does the grid show how long I will live?

No. The number of rows is a horizon you choose to see the calendar ahead. It says nothing about your own life expectancy.

How are leap years counted?

Every real calendar day counts, so 29 February adds a day in leap years. A year of life has 365 or 366 days.

Is my birthday sent anywhere?

No. The calculation runs in your browser. If you accept usage statistics, only the birth year is counted, never the day and month.
